way back in 1969 a student stood in the tracks of a fast approaching fast train
he had been aspiring for the post of President of the Students Union
He did not succeed
He had no muscle

He wanted to end it

He looked again
The kid had disappeared

Manilal tightened his buckle and walked away
just seconds before the train rolled by

Then Manilal went to seek his fortune in Mumbai
He was a partner with PCE
the company flourished and was making tons of money
but Manilal tendered his resignation
Difference of opinion

He then went into partnership again to make cable glands at IPE
again he was cheated
again he split

Manilal is a trusting man
and there lies his downfall

He now started a proprietory company IP
He is struggling now
but he sees his destiny

He will succeed

Disability does not disable ...,

I have had motor neurone disease for practically all my adult life. Yet it has not prevented me from having a very attractive family, and being successful in my work. This is thanks to the help I have received from Jane, my children, and a large number of other people and organisations. I have been lucky, that my condition has progressed more slowly than is often the case. But it shows that one need not lose hope.

Life personified

Jeevan has been a wonderful friend for a very long time in Blogville and has captured my attention and my heart for the very kind-spirited and brave soul that he is. He has never been mean to anyone, never said anything to hurt a single soul and has always been a gentleman in his thoughts, words and deeds. He sets a great example to me cos you know how cranky, shallow and needy I can get sometimes hehe. Jeevan comes all the way from India, speaks Tamil and his blog represents his rich culture along with his beautiful, free and expressive heart. There is also another very special thing about Jeevan and that is that he suffers from Muscular Dystrophy, which is an illness that makes a person lose muscle strength which affects his independent mobility. Though Jeevan suffers from it, he doesn't see it as a life-sentence. He just gets on with life and deals with it very maturely. To go through something like that at a age so young...I don't think it's easy. But Jeevan shows us all how wonderful life can be if we all try to put aside the difficulties that we have been dealt with, and just concentrate on living one day at a time. To me that is a very BIG personality. And I honor and respect Jeevan for who is, for how he copes with his demons and for how he shines brightly in the darkest pits of his tough experiences. He is a star and a great inspiration to all of us. MWACKKZ Jeevan! Dija feel it? ;-). This song is dedicated especially to your genuine and free spirit...Jeevan means LIFE in Sanskrit, so this fav Tamil song of mine fits you perfectly. Uyire means life...enjoy!

Keep the faith, Dont give up the fight

It happens to all - you meet with a setback or fail at something, and you're tempted to give up. Here's a surefire way to help you through it: it's all in how you look at it.

To give an example, what would you think about the following person:He failed in business at age 31, was defeated for the legislature at 32, failed again in business at 34. His sweetheart died when he was 35, and he had a nervous breakdown at age 36. He was defeated in election at age 38, and then was defeated for Congress at 43 and again at 46 and 48. He was defeated for the Senate at age 55 and for Vice President at 56, and for the Senate again at 58. He was elected President of the United States at age 60.

Who was this man? It was Abraham Lincoln - who was certainly a success, not a failure.

Put into perspective, failing in something is just another opportunity
for learning and growth, for finding out what works and what doesn't. Looked at positively, you'd never learn if you didn't fail. Or to put it even more strongly, you can't succeed unless you have failed before.

As Thomas Edison said of his many attempts to invent the electric light, "1 have not failed. I've found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Probably nobody knows this better than sports celebrities. Their abilities and reputations are put on the line in every game they play. Basketball great Michael Jordan has said, "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed.I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why 1 succeed."

Don't stop believing in yourself for fear of failure. It is a necessary step to success.
